The five eggs
Start egg timerPeople disagree about the perfect egg. Some want to dip toast in a runny yolk, others want it firm and easy to put on bread. That's why the app has five eggs, and you choose the one you like best. Here you can see what each egg is good for. The times are for a medium (53–63 g) egg straight from the fridge in boiling water at sea level, and they are calculated: soft-boiled takes 5 minutes, hard-boiled 10 minutes and 30 seconds. A soft-boiled, creamy, jammy or firm egg isn't fully cooked. For a yolk that is firm all the way through, choose hard-boiled and check the yolk.
